Jaipur, The fifth session of the Sixteenth Rajasthan Legislative Assembly will begin on Wednesday, January 28. Prior to this, an all-party meeting was held in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, chaired by the Speaker, Shri Vasudev Devnani. In the all-party meeting, a consensus was reached on conducting the House peacefully and on all members using respectful and dignified language. Both the ruling and opposition parties assured the Speaker that their members would conduct themselves with decorum in the House.
Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani said that there should be meaningful discussions in the House. All members will get an opportunity to speak. He said that all members should maintain the dignity of the House and the Speaker's chair. All members of all parties should conduct the House with a positive approach. He said that the responsibility of running the House rests with all the members of the ruling and opposition parties of the Sixteenth Legislative Assembly.
Shri Devnani said that this House is a sacred place for discussing issues of public interest. It is the responsibility of all of us to maintain the dignity of this place. Meaningful discussions will be held on issues of public interest. If necessary, the House will be extended to allow for these discussions. He said that problems are solved through dialogue. Efforts will be made to resolve problems in the House. The discussions of the members will be taken seriously, and the problems raised by them will be addressed. Shri Devnani appealed to all parties to raise issues in the House with dignity. All members should maintain decorum while speaking in the House.
Shri Devnani said that the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly has received replies to 96 percent of the questions from the previous sessions. He said that replies to questions will continue to be sought on time. The responsibility of the officers will be fixed for this. Committee reports will be sought on time in the House. He said that the Question Hour and Zero Hour of the House are important. There should be no disruptions during these two periods, and all parties must deliberate on this matter. Mr. Devnani said that all members of both the ruling and opposition parties share the same sentiment regarding expressing their views in the House. He said that all members will get an opportunity to speak. Members should also try to express their views within the given time limit.
The Leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Mr. Tikaram Juli, said that the government should take the issues raised in the House seriously. He said that the responsibility of running the House rests with both the ruling and opposition parties. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr. Jogaram Patel said that the all-party meeting organized in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly is a historic initiative by Speaker Mr. Vasudev Devnani. Its far-reaching positive results will be visible in the conduct of the House. He expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties who attended the meeting. Government Chief Whip Mr. Jogeshwar Garg, Opposition Chief Whip Mr. Rafiq Khan, Mr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Subhash Garg, and Mr. Thawarchand were present at the meeting.
