Jaipur: Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the Union Budget 2026–27, stating that it is a budget for youth, women, farmers, the deprived, the poor, and the common citizen. He said the budget is dedicated to three key responsibilities—rapid economic growth, fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people, and the vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. He added that the budget further strengthens Rajasthan’s integration into the national development mainstream. Under the Prime Minister’s guidance, the country is progressing as one of the fastest-growing economies and is firmly on track to become the world’s third-largest economy.
Shri Sharma said that the budget presented by Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman reflects the nation’s strong performance, growing at a 7 percent growth rate while moving forward on a path-breaking reform trajectory. He noted that this youth-centric budget includes provisions to promote employment, skill development, and startups. At the same time, special initiatives have been introduced for women, such as She Marts and at least one girls’ hostel in every district. He further highlighted that the exemption of customs duty on 17 cancer medicines, along with support for small and large industries, producers, artisans, and workers, will help them access global markets and open new avenues of growth.
The Chief Minister stated that Rajasthan has recently introduced its Semiconductor Policy and Data Center Policy. The announcement of the ₹40,000 crore India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 in the Union Budget will directly benefit the state. Similarly, incentives announced for the data center and cloud services sectors will also prove advantageous for Rajasthan. He added that announcements related to Mega Textile Parks, the development of 200 industrial clusters, and initiatives in the solar and mining sectors will be especially beneficial for the state.
Shri Sharma further said that under the PM Garib Kalyan Rozgar-related scheme, the allocation has been increased from ₹86,000 crore to ₹95,692 crore compared to MGNREGA, which will result in additional funds for Rajasthan. He emphasized that animal husbandry is a major pillar of Rajasthan’s economy, and livestock farmers will greatly benefit from the loan-linked capital investment subsidy scheme announced in the budget.
