Udaipur,  Development work under the AMRUT Station Scheme is underway at 15 railway stations in the Ajmer division, including Mavli Junction on the Chittorgarh–Udaipur section. The total estimated cost of development at Mavli Junction is approximately ₹21 crore, with a target to complete the work by the end of this year.

A new station building is being constructed over 1,428 square meters at a cost of around ₹14 crore. The main station building, platform shelters, and booking counters have already been completed, while work on the circulating area is in progress. A 12-meter-wide foot overbridge is also under construction, with surface-level and column erection works completed.

The surfacing of the approximately 9,000 square meter circulating area and the 1,315 square meter parking area is underway. The public announcement system and coach information boards have already been installed. Work is also ongoing on a standard ramp, parking for differently-abled passengers, and a low-height ticket booking counter. Two new lifts are being installed as part of the modernization effort.

Additionally, art and cultural installations are being developed over an area of roughly 1,000 square meters. The station’s waiting hall, toilets, and a new second entry are also being upgraded to enhance passenger convenience and accessibility.

The Divisional Railway Manager, Mr. Raju Bhutda, has instructed the subordinate officers to expedite the work further to ensure timely completion and provide passengers with a modernized, comfortable, and accessible station.
