The Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and spokesperson Pankaj Kumar Sharma expressed profound sorrow over the passing of senior Congress leader, former minister, and ex-Rajya Sabha MP Ashk Ali Tank, who breathed his last on October 5 at the age of 67 while undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Jaipur.

Sharma said that Ashk Ali Tank was a dedicated, honest, and service-oriented leader who consistently raised the voice of the weaker sections of society, farmers, laborers, and the underprivileged throughout his political career. He held several key positions, including NSUI and Youth Congress President and Chairman of the Minority Commission, and remained actively involved in party programs even during periods of illness. Under his guidance and leadership, numerous developmental initiatives were implemented, directly benefiting the common people.

He added that Tank’s contribution will always remain etched in golden letters in the history of Rajasthan politics. His simple lifestyle, approachable nature, and deep connection with the public made him a popular figure, particularly among the youth, and will continue to inspire future generations.

Sharma offered prayers for the peace of the departed soul and wished that God grant strength to the bereaved family to overcome this difficult time. The final rites of Ashk Ali Tank will be performed at Vidyadhar Nagar Cemetery at 11:00 AM on October 6, following his arrival at his ancestral residence.
