Ujjain/Udaipur: The All India convention of the Shri Trivedi Mewara Brahmin Samaj concluded in the sacred city of Ujjain with a spirit of divine resolve. The general assembly, chaired by National Convener Bhupendra Pandya (Sagwara), deliberated on various national issues and passed key resolutions. The chief guest was Pt. Sunil Joshi, State President of the Madhya Pradesh unit of the Samaj.

The program began with the worship of the community’s revered deity Eklingnath and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Following Om chanting and meditation, a collective prayer was offered. In his keynote address, Bhupendra Pandya discussed the constitution and executive formation of the All India Shri Trivedi Mewara Brahmin Samaj organization, expansion of membership across states, and the need to build a united and value-based community.

Several speakers, including Pawan Amarawat, Laxminarayan Pandya, Priyakant Pandya, Purushottam Joshi, Vijesh Bhai Malpur, Shailesh Bhai Thakar, Gomti Shankar Pandya, and Mahesh Joshi, shared their views. They emphasized that education and cultural values form the foundation of community development.

Discussions were held on organizing mass sacred thread (Yagyopavit) ceremonies, mass marriage ceremonies, strengthening social bonds, arranging pilgrimages for needy members, and constructing a grand national-level building on an 18,000 sq. ft. plot in Udaipur. The date and formal program for the foundation-laying ceremony of the proposed building were also announced. The session was conducted by National Secretary Vinod Paneri, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Anil Pandya Anjana.

Representatives from various regions including Chhappan, Mewal, Unti Chokhla, and Pathok Chokhla participated. Core committees from different states, divisions, and districts, along with youth, employee, political, and sports wings, were also present.

Eklingnath Temple to be Built on 20,000 Sq. Ft.

At Panchkroshi Padav-3 on Badnagar Road in Gram Nalwa, Ujjain, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of a grand temple dedicated to Eklingnath, along with a Gurukul and Gaushala. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, descendant of Maharana Pratap of the Mewar royal family.

Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar described the initiative as a beautiful confluence of Mewar and Malwa. He termed the construction of the Eklingnath Temple in the city of Mahakaleshwar Temple as a historic step and assured full support for the project.

The foundation ceremony was performed by Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh in the presence of saints including Mahendranand Giri Maharaj, Ramnath Maharaj of Bhartrihari Caves, and Dayaram Maharaj of Shikarapura, Jodhpur. A total of 151 couples participated in the ritual amid Vedic chants. More than 2,000 community members from Udaipur division, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh attended the ceremony.

Key Features of the Temple

  • The temple will be constructed using white marble stones.

  • The Shivling will be installed in black stone.

  • The estimated project cost is ₹7 crore.

  • The temple design has been prepared by the Sompura family of Ahmedabad, renowned for designing the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

  • The target is to complete construction before Simhastha Akhatij 2028.

The sanctum (Garbhagriha) will measure 13.7 x 13.7 feet, with a 13 x 7 feet entrance gate. A 29 x 29 feet assembly hall (Sabhamandap) will be constructed with entrances on three sides. The campus will also include a Gurukul, to be developed as a center of modern education, along with a Gaushala.

The project is being viewed as a historic and spiritual milestone for the community, blending tradition with modern vision while strengthening cultural and religious ties across regions.
