Udaipur: An awareness program on the theme “Child Rights and Protection” was organized on February 26, 2026, under the joint aegis of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, College of Community and Applied Sciences, a constituent college of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, and Jatan Sansthan.

Addressing the students, Dean Dr. Dhriti Solanki emphasized that child rights and protection mean providing a safe and secure environment that supports children’s growth and development, safeguarding them from all forms of exploitation, violence, abuse, and neglect. She stated that it is the responsibility of every individual to ensure that all children have access to education, healthcare, a dignified life, and the fulfillment of their basic needs.

Subject experts Dr. Surbhi Yadav, Psychologist, and Mr. Marudhar, Child Protection and Gender Specialist from Jatan Sansthan, Udaipur, interacted with the students. They discussed the rights guaranteed to children in India, various laws and acts related to child protection, and the responsibilities of students toward the community in ensuring child welfare.

The program was successfully coordinated by Dr. Monica Rai, Assistant Professor, Department of Human Development and Family Studies, along with Mr. Divyanshu Pathak from Jatan Sansthan.
