Udaipur: The Holi Milan Ceremony and Dhundhotsav organized by the Digambar Jain Dasha Humad Samaj Sansthan Udaipur was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Shubh Kesar Garden. More than 1,000 members of the community participated in the event.
Sansthan President Ramesh Shah informed that the program was attended by Jatin Gandhi (Deputy Commissioner, Devasthan Department), Rishabh Mungadia (Engineer, Water Resources Department), Seema Champawat (Media In-charge, BJP Mahila Morcha), and social worker Jayantilal Dagaria as chief guests.
Community leader Ashok Shah stated that the Dhundhotsav ceremony for nine newborn children of the community was celebrated with great joy in the presence of community members. The children included Takshil Jain, Siddh Wageria, Yavi Kothari, Mishika Jain, Ivan Jawaria, Jiyansh Pancholi, Heer Wageria, Medhansh Panchori, and Nihira Panchori.
Community Secretary Pritesh Wageria (CA) said that the program began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Mangalacharan. This was followed by the felicitation of guests and cultural performances presented by the women’s wing of the community. The rituals of Dhundhotsav were performed by Takhtmal Sagotia, Ramesh Wageria, Amrit Bohra, Anil Mehta, Ashok Shah, and the invited guests.
On this occasion, Rajvardhan Jain, Kavya Kothari, Kriya Gandhi, Diya Seth, and Khwaish Jain were honored for achieving excellent percentile scores in their academic examinations. Additionally, Takhtmal Sagotia and Padma Sagotia were presented with the “Seva Samman Alankaran” for their selfless service to the community.
The event was coordinated by Vimal Jain, Anil Mehta, Chirag Kothari, and Paras Kothari. The program was hosted by Chandraprakash Dhannawat, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Secretary Pritesh Wageria. The event concluded with the singing of the Jain Flag Song.
