Udaipur, August 13: The Gangodbhav complex reverberated with devotional songs dedicated to Lord Mahadev on Thursday, the fifth day of the seven-day programme being organised by the Shiv Mahotsav Committee ahead of the 21st grand Kanwar Yatra scheduled for August 17.

The Kanwar Yatra will commence from Gangodbhav Kund, regarded as the fourth sacred source of the Ganga, and proceed to Ubeshwar Mahadev. As part of the seven-day celebrations aimed at ensuring participation from all sections of society, a grand musical Bhajan Sandhya was organised at the Shri Dev Rajrajeshwar Mahadev Temple in the Gangodbhav complex by Shri Eklingnath Satsang Mandal, Ambadarkat.

Shyam Tailor, Lokesh Joshi, Naresh Audichya, CP Sahu, Mohan, Naresh Dave and Suresh Sahu, along with their team, presented soulful devotional bhajans dedicated to Lord Mahadev. The devotees were completely immersed in devotion as the melodious performances filled the atmosphere with spiritual fervour. The entire Gangodbhav complex echoed with chants of “Har Har Mahadev.”

The devotional evening further heightened enthusiasm among devotees for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra.

Spokesperson Krishnakant Kumawat said that Yagya Narayan Sharma, Manohar Chaudhary, Mahesh Bhawsar, Shivshankar Nagda, Lokesh Joshi, Suresh Rawat, Bhagirth Singh, Suresh Sahu, Santosh Sharma, Suryaprakash Upadhyay, Om Sahu, Chandraprakash, Bharat Sharma, Rahul Shrimali, Ronak Bhati, Naresh Audichya, Harinarayan Purohit, Bhagwatilal Sahu and a large number of devotees were present on the occasion.

Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Tiranga Yatra on August 15

Convenor Advocate Dr. Ramkripa said that on the sixth day of the seven-day celebrations, a flag hoisting ceremony will be organised at the Gangodbhav premises at 8 am on Saturday, August 15, by the Gangu Vikas Samiti.

At 4 pm, under the guidance of Narendra Paliwal of Vipra Foundation, Ganga Kalash Puja will be performed, following which a Tiranga Yatra will be taken out from Parshuram Circle to the Gangodbhav Kund complex.

The organising committee has appealed to devotees and citizens to participate in the programmes in large numbers.
