Udaipur, On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC), Udaipur, presented a grand showcase of the country’s rich folk and tribal cultural heritage during the cultural evening of the 'At Home' reception held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. Dr. Ashwin Dalvi, Director of WZCC, Udaipur, shared that nearly 115 folk and tribal artists from various states across India presented an extraordinary glimpse of the nation’s 'Unity in Diversity' through their traditional art forms and performances. The prestigious event was graced by the Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Cabinet Ministers, senior dignitaries, and distinguished guests from India and abroad. Under the guidance, music composition, and presence of Dr. Ashwin M. Dalvi, folk artists from Goa—a member state of the centre—delivered mesmerizing performances of Goa’s unique folk and traditional art forms, including Ghumat, Samai dance, Ghodemodni, and Dashavatara. These presentations powerfully highlighted Goa's vibrant folk culture and traditions on a national stage. Key coordination and event arrangements on behalf of the West Zone Cultural Centre were managed by Siddhant Bhatnagar and Nikhil Verma. The cultural evening at Rashtrapati Bhavan marked a proud milestone for WZCC, Udaipur, celebrating and promoting India's diverse artistic heritage at the highest level.
