Udaipur: Advanced medical technology at Paras Health, Udaipur, has helped a 90-year-old man overcome 25 years of severe knee pain and regain greater mobility. Bhura Lal Teli, a resident of Chhoti Sadri in Chittorgarh district, underwent successful robotic-assisted replacement of both knees performed by senior orthopaedic and robotic knee replacement surgeon Dr. Ashish Singhal.

Remarkably, just one month after the procedure, Teli was able to sit cross-legged, marking a significant improvement in his mobility and quality of life.

Suffered from Knee Pain for 25 Years

Teli had been experiencing severe pain in both knees for nearly 25 years. His condition had affected his mobility and daily activities, leaving him dependent on others for routine tasks.

Performing bilateral knee replacement surgery at the age of 90 presented significant challenges. However, the medical team successfully carried out the procedures using robotic-assisted technology.

Following the surgery, Teli made rapid progress during rehabilitation and was able to sit cross-legged within a month. The improvement has brought relief and happiness to the patient and his family.

Robotic Technology Enables Greater Precision

Dr. Ashish Singhal said performing simultaneous knee replacement in an elderly patient can be challenging. Robotic-assisted technology helps surgeons achieve greater precision during the procedure, preserve bone where possible and minimise blood loss.

He said the patient's rapid recovery was the result of advanced technology combined with specialised medical care and post-operative rehabilitation.

Paras Health, Udaipur, said it remains committed to providing advanced healthcare services to patients in the region through modern medical technology and a team of specialist doctors.
