Udaipur: Paras Health Udaipur has launched cardiac surgery services at its hospital, marking a significant step in strengthening advanced heart care for patients in Udaipur and surrounding regions.

Led by cardiac surgery specialist Dr. Santosh Gupta, the hospital has successfully performed eight cardiac surgeries, including complex procedures involving patients with multiple coronary artery blockages.

Among the recent cases was 70-year-old Ram Chandra, who had blockages in two major coronary arteries, and 67-year-old Dalpat Singh, who was diagnosed with blockages in all three major coronary arteries. Both patients had experienced breathing difficulties and had significantly reduced ejection fractions due to longstanding cardiac conditions. Following successful surgery, both recovered well and were discharged on the fourth day.

The launch is expected to improve access to advanced cardiac surgical care for patients in Udaipur and neighbouring areas, reducing the need to travel to larger cities such as Ahmedabad for complex heart procedures.

He said patients with complex cardiac conditions would now have the option of receiving surgical treatment closer to home, with the focus on delivering safe, high-quality and comprehensive cardiac surgical care.

He said experienced specialists, advanced infrastructure and comprehensive cardiac care under one roof would help patients access timely and quality treatment closer to home.

Cardiac and vascular surgery-related services at Paras Health Udaipur are also available free of cost to eligible beneficiaries under schemes including Chiranjeevi, RGHS and ECHS. The initiative is expected to improve access to advanced cardiac treatment for eligible patients and support wider efforts to make specialised heart care more accessible across Rajasthan.
