Udaipur: The Department of Dermatology at Geetanjali Hospital organised a specialised hands-on workshop on advanced procedures used in aesthetic dermatology, with a focus on botulinum toxin-based treatments.

The workshop highlighted the use of botulinum toxin primarily for reducing visible facial wrinkles and managing visible signs of ageing. Experts explained that, with appropriate techniques and a sound understanding of facial muscles and anatomy, the procedure aims to maintain natural facial expressions while achieving balanced and natural-looking results.

Residents were given an overview of facial assessment, treatment planning and injection techniques, along with practical aspects of achieving balanced outcomes across different areas of the face.

The hands-on component was a key feature of the workshop, providing postgraduate residents an opportunity to understand advanced aesthetic procedures under expert supervision and strengthen their practical skills.

The Department of Dermatology said such training programmes are aimed at complementing regular clinical education with practical exposure to modern and advanced aesthetic techniques. These initiatives also help residents stay familiar with emerging procedures and technologies in the rapidly evolving field of dermatology.

The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr Kalpana Gupta, Head of the Department of Dermatology. Dr Rashi Agrawal and Dr Shreya Sharma provided expert training and guidance to the residents during the programme.
