Udaipur: On the eve of Janmashtami, the Indian Cohesive Cultural Club of Pacific Institute of Business Studies, Pacific University, organised an insightful discussion on “The Diverse Dimensions of Lord Krishna, His Life Episodes and Inspiration.” Students of BBA, B.Com and M.Com participated in the programme and shared their perspectives on the multifaceted personality of Lord Krishna and the practical and ethical lessons that can be drawn from his life.
The programme was conceptualised by Dr. Priyanka Chaudhary, who said the objective was to promote ethical values among students and encourage life-oriented education in line with the National Education Policy and India’s rich knowledge traditions. The discussion was structured to help students understand various dimensions of Lord Krishna’s personality in the context of modern life and management.
During the discussion, students presented Lord Krishna as a guru, ideal ruler, strategist, true friend, philosopher, protector of dharma, compassionate personality, skilled diplomat, service-oriented leader, crisis-management expert, visionary leader, Karmayogi, nature lover and effective communicator.
They also highlighted values reflected in Krishna’s life, including leadership, friendship, Karmayoga, collaboration, trusteeship, commitment to justice, equanimity, compassion, philosophical thinking and ethical decision-making. Students discussed how these principles can remain relevant in contemporary personal, academic and professional life.
Addressing the students, Dr. Anurag Mehta, Principal of the institute, said Lord Krishna’s life offers not only spiritual inspiration but also valuable lessons in modern management, leadership, decision-making and personality development. He encouraged students to incorporate the inspiring lessons from Krishna’s life into their daily lives, education and future professional pursuits and strive to become successful and responsible citizens.
The programme was moderated by BBA students Manthan and Angel Sharma. Students participated enthusiastically and engaged in meaningful discussions on the relevance of Indian culture, spiritual values and life management in contemporary times.
