Udaipur: World Physiotherapy Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Pacific College of Physiotherapy, affiliated with Pacific Medical University. This year’s theme focused on “The Role of Physiotherapy and Physical Activity in the Prevention, Management and Rehabilitation of Heart Disease and Stroke.”
A seminar on “The Importance of Physiotherapy and Its Role in Healthcare Services” was organised on the occasion. Students and faculty members discussed the growing significance of physiotherapy in modern healthcare, pain management and the faster rehabilitation of patients.
Welcoming the guests, faculty members and students, Dr. Zafar Khan, Dean, Pacific College of Physiotherapy, said that musculoskeletal problems are increasing rapidly due to today’s fast-paced lifestyle, sedentary routines and prolonged screen time. He said physiotherapy not only helps patients return to normal life after surgery and serious illnesses but also serves as a safe and effective approach to preventing several lifestyle-related disorders without relying solely on medication.
Addressing the students, faculty members encouraged them to develop strong clinical skills and pursue research while serving patients with empathy and compassion.
