Sri Ganganagar: An awareness programme was organised at Shri Krishna Gaushala in Sardarpura Bika under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Sri Ganganagar campaign, being conducted under the leadership of District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav and District Superintendent of Police Mr. Harishankar.

The programme brought together several important social causes, including awareness against drug abuse, the safety and values of daughters, environmental protection and blood donation. The initiative conveyed the message that meaningful social transformation cannot be achieved through speeches alone, but requires collective responsibility and active community participation.

Under the leadership of Mr. Vikram Jyani of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Red Art Theatre Group presented a special anti-drug awareness play titled Andhere Se Ujale Ki Ore. Through their performance, the artists portrayed the devastating impact of addiction on families, the pain suffered by parents and the destruction of young people’s futures.

Young artist Lakshya Jyani delivered an emotional message that nothing is more important than family and that no one should lose the trust of their parents, siblings or children because of drug abuse. The performances by Vikram Jyani and Sahi Ram brought both laughter and emotional moments to the audience.

Through the presentation, daughters were encouraged to value the trust placed in them by their parents. The girls present at the programme raised their hands and pledged never to break their parents’ trust and to prioritise communication and mutual trust with their families while making important decisions.

On the occasion, 1,100 saplings were planted with the participation of villagers, youth and social workers. The participants also pledged to take responsibility for their care. Speakers emphasised that plantation is not merely a one-day activity; nurturing a sapling until it grows into a tree is the real essence of environmental service. They said that just as a family nurtures a child, society must take responsibility for every sapling planted.

A blood donation camp was also organised as part of the programme, with youth and villagers participating enthusiastically and demonstrating their commitment to serving humanity.
