Udaipur: The Halwai Vyapar Kalyan Sanstha, Udaipur Rajasthan (Registered) will organise a grand felicitation ceremony on September 15 to honour outstanding traders associated with the Halwai business. The event will be held from 5 p.m. at Ashoka Green on 100 Feet Road, with Cabinet Minister Babulal Kharadi attending as the chief guest.

Ahead of the event, members of the organisation, led by Founder President Harish Kumar Bhatt, met Cabinet Minister Babulal Kharadi at his residence in Kotra on Thursday. The office-bearers extended an invitation to him to attend the ceremony. Minister Kharadi accepted the invitation and confirmed his participation.

Founder President Harish Kumar Bhatt said the ceremony would recognise traders who have made significant contributions to the Halwai business and helped strengthen the profession through their dedication and excellence.

General Secretary Mukesh Madhavani said traders who have established a distinct identity through taste, quality and service and contributed to taking the Halwai business to new heights across Rajasthan and the country would be felicitated.

He added that traders who have contributed to initiatives such as “Shuddh Ke Liye Yudh” (War Against Adulteration) and helped expand awareness and participation within the Halwai trade would also be recognised.

More than 500 Halwai traders from across the region are expected to participate in the ceremony.

Organisation office-bearers and members, including Ramesh Audichya, Prakash Bhatt, Durgashankar Suthar, Dinesh Suthar and Fatehlal Bhan, were present during the meeting with the minister.
