Phad Painting Summer Training Camp from June 7

**Bhilwara** – The Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi, Jaipur, in collaboration with the local Akriti Kala Sansthan, Bhilwara, will organize a summer training camp from June 7 to June 21, 2024. This camp aims to preserve and promote the world-renowned Phad painting tradition of Bhilwara and acquaint the public with our folk cultural arts. The camp will be held at the Akriti Art Gallery.

Kailash Palia, the camp coordinator and secretary of Akriti Kala Sansthan, informed that renowned Phad artist Rajesh Joshi from Bhilwara will conduct the training. Participants will learn about the natural colors, canvas, and folk tales depicted in Phad paintings.

The 15-day camp will also include programs such as Phad reading sessions, highlighting the folk tales commonly portrayed in Phad art. Those interested in participating can register at Akriti Art Gallery, 164 Vakil Colony, or by calling 99833 00960.

Each participant will be honored with a certificate of appreciation from the Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi, Jaipur.
