Hotel Federation of Rajasthan Thanks Deputy Chief Minister for Relief in Licence Fees

Udaipur: The Hotel Federation of Rajasthan has expressed its gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Diya Kumari for the state government's decision to reduce hotel and restaurant licence fees, calling it a major relief for Rajasthan's hospitality sector.

Rakesh Choudhary, President of the Udaipur Division of the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan, said that the substantial increase in hotel and restaurant licence fees announced by the state government on May 24 had caused widespread concern among hoteliers and restaurant owners. In response, the Federation strongly opposed the hike and consistently represented the industry's concerns before the government, urging a revision of the increased charges.

He stated that following sustained efforts, constructive dialogue, and positive engagement between the industry and the government, the state issued a revised order on June 24, reducing the licence fees and providing significant relief to the hotel and restaurant sector.

Describing the decision as timely and progressive, Choudhary said the revised fee structure would strengthen Rajasthan's tourism and hospitality industry while encouraging business growth and investment.

As part of the initiative, a delegation of the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan, led by State President Hussain Khan, met Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari to personally thank her for the government's decision to ease the financial burden on the hospitality industry.

During the meeting, the delegation also discussed several issues related to tourism development, including the establishment of a Tourism Office in Baran, expansion of tourism facilities across the state, strengthening tourism infrastructure, and other key initiatives aimed at promoting Rajasthan as a leading travel destination.

The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to the development of the tourism sector and assured the delegation that constructive suggestions from industry stakeholders would continue to receive positive consideration.

The delegation included State President Hussain Khan, Secretary Ranvijay Singh, and other members of the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan.
