Green Heartfulness Run Spreads Message of Environmental Protection in Udaipur

Udaipur — A Green Heartfulness Run was organised on Sunday by the Heartfulness Meditation Institute, Udaipur Centre, at Chitrakoot Nagar to promote environmental conservation and climate awareness. The event brought together eminent citizens, doctors, advocates, and members of the Mewar Runners group, all participating with full dedication.

The run was flagged off by Dr. Puneet Sharma, Joint Director, Department of Economics & Statistics, Udaipur. He said that the Green Heartfulness Run was not merely a fitness event but a strong message towards environmental protection for the coming generations.

Bhagwan Sahay Sharma, senior trainer from the Heartfulness Institute, Ajmer Centre, outlined the activities of the Forest by Heartfulness programme. He highlighted that under the guidance of global guide Kamlesh Patel Daaji, the organisation has been working across the country on impactful projects focused on tree plantation, water conservation, and increasing green cover. The purpose of the run was to inspire everyone to combine sportsmanship with spiritual awareness and environmental responsibility.

Sharing details, Dr. Rakesh Dashora, Centre Coordinator, informed that the first 50 runners were honoured with saplings, including tulsi and other beneficial plants. Dr. Subodh Sharma, Media Coordinator, added that 25 young runners were felicitated with medals. After the run, participants also joined a collective meditation session.

The event featured enthusiastic participation from many members, including Mukesh Mishra from Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU), Madhu Mehta, John Samnvay, senior trainers Dr. K.K. Saxena and Pushpa Saxena, Mohan Borana, Geeta Prasad Rajawat, Dr. Kailash Tiwari, Prafull Gandhi, Sister Asha Sharma, Marathon Coordinator Deepak Menaria, Himanshu Dave, Dr. Ashu Sethi, Deepak Sethi, Sister Madhu Singhvi, Anjali Chavat, Sister Manju Borana, Ranjana Sharma, Dharmaraj, Paresh, and several other young and elderly participants. All completed the 2 km run with remarkable enthusiasm, spreading a collective message of fitness, spirituality, and environmental preservation.
