####Young Squad, Big Glory: Zinc Academy Triumphs Again

In a season defined by dominance, discipline, and youthful brilliance, Zinc Football Academy has once again etched its name in Rajasthan’s sporting history. Rising above seven of the state’s strongest teams, the academy successfully defended its Rajasthan League Senior Men’s A-Division title for 2025–26—marking its third championship and second consecutive triumph.

What makes this victory even more compelling is the age of the squad. Fielding their youngest-ever team, the Zawar-based academy delivered performances far beyond their years. With 10 wins in 12 matches, 39 goals scored, and just six conceded, the team’s remarkable +33 goal difference painted a picture of sheer dominance.

From Legacy to Revival

Rajasthan’s football story once flourished under icons like Magan Singh Rajvi, who led India in the 1970s. But for decades after, the state struggled to produce national-level stars. That narrative is now changing—and Zinc Football Academy stands at the heart of this revival.

The academy’s structured vision and grassroots commitment have breathed life back into Rajasthan football. A shining example is Mohammad Kaif, who broke a 40-year drought by representing India and went on to lift multiple SAFF Cup titles.

Building Champions Beyond the Pitch

Founded in 2017, the academy has grown into a powerhouse of football development. Recognised as a 3-star accredited institution by All India Football Federation, it has trained over 5,000 young footballers—many from rural India.

But its vision extends far beyond sport. By combining elite coaching with academic support and personality development, the academy ensures its players are prepared for life as much as for the game. It also proudly hosts India’s largest residential football academy for girls, pushing boundaries in inclusivity and opportunity.

A System That Delivers Results

The academy’s success is not accidental—it’s engineered. Players like Prem Hansdak, Sahil Poonia, and Ashish Mayla have all progressed to represent India, reinforcing the academy’s reputation as a national talent pipeline.

Guided strategically by The Football Link, the academy continues to evolve, blending modern football science with grassroots passion.

A Broader Vision of Impact

Behind this success is Hindustan Zinc, whose commitment to community development goes far beyond sport. From education and healthcare to women’s empowerment and sustainability, the company’s initiatives impact over 2.6 million people across 4,400 villages.

Football, however, remains a powerful symbol of this transformation. Since establishing its Zawar stadium in 1976, Hindustan Zinc has nurtured sporting culture across generations—now extending into athletics, kabaddi, and volleyball. Its Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon has even placed Udaipur on the global running map.

The Future Kicks Forward

As the final whistle echoed across the Rajasthan League season, it was clear—this was more than just a title defense. It was a statement.

A statement that Rajasthan football is rising again.
A statement that youth, when nurtured right, can conquer any stage.
And most importantly, a statement that Zinc Football Academy isn’t just building teams—it’s building the future of Indian football.
