Udaipur: On the occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day 2026, a grand free 126 Surya Namaskar Mega Event was organized at the iconic Fateh Sagar promenade by the Government Model Ayurvedic Dispensary (Sindhi Bazaar), Patanjali Yoga Samiti Udaipur, Sukripa Foundation, and Swasthya Setu.
The highlight of the event was 7-year-old yoga prodigy Suryaksh Sharma, who captivated thousands of yoga enthusiasts by flawlessly performing 126 consecutive Surya Namaskar cycles from the main stage. His remarkable endurance, discipline, and dedication at such a young age left the audience inspired and spellbound.
Impressed by his extraordinary performance, former Additional District Collector (City) War Singh, the chief guest, honored the young yogi by lifting him in his arms on stage and applauding his exceptional commitment to yoga.
Suryaksh Sharma was also felicitated for his outstanding contribution to promoting yoga by several dignitaries, including Dr. Bhanukumar Jain, Assistant Director (Ayurveda) and Nodal Officer; Vaidya Shobhalal Audichya, Assistant Nodal Officer and Senior Ayurvedic Physician; Dr. Vishnu Banshiwal, President of the Ayurvedic Physicians Association; Suresh Paliwal, President of the Indian Yoga Association; Krishna Paliwal, President of Sukripa Foundation; Mukesh Pathak, State Executive Member of Patanjali Yoga Samiti; Yogi Ashok Jain, Yoga Coordinator; and senior yoga instructor Puran Singh Rathore of Swasthya Setu. The young achiever was presented with a ceremonial shawl, certificate, and memento.
Earlier, on June 21, during the district-level celebrations of the 12th International Yoga Day held at Bhandari Darshak Mandap, Gandhi Ground, Udaipur, Suryaksh Sharma was also honored for his exceptional yoga service by Rajasthan's Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharadi, along with senior administrative officials.
At such a tender age, Suryaksh Sharma has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to yoga, bringing pride to Udaipur by confidently leading yoga practice before thousands of participants. His achievements have become a matter of immense pride for the city and have been widely appreciated by residents.
Suryaksh Sharma is the son of renowned yoga instructors Manita Sharma and Jignesh Sharma. He is a Class II student at Central Academy School, Hiran Magri Sector 5, Udaipur. His inspiring journey reflects the growing enthusiasm for yoga among young children and serves as a powerful example of the message "Healthy Children, Healthy India."
