Jagadguru Shankaracharya to Observe Historic Chaturmas at Godham Pathmeda

Pathmeda, Rajasthan: In a historic first for India's cow conservation movement, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Pujya Swami Shri Sadanand Saraswatiji Maharaj, Sharda Dwarka Peethadheeshwar, will observe the sacred Chaturmas at Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda, the world's largest institution dedicated to cow protection and service.

The Surabhi Harihar Chaturmas Aradhana Mahotsav will be held from July 29 to September 26, drawing lakhs of devotees, saints, spiritual seekers, and supporters of cow conservation from across the country.

Historic First: Chaturmas Inside a Gaushala Campus

Govats Vitthal Krishnaji said the Mahotsav is being organized under the blessings and inspiration of Param Shraddheya GoRishi Swami Shri Dattasharananandji Maharaj, Founder and Chief Patron of Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda.

The event will take place amidst thousands of indigenous cows at the sacred land of Abhinav Brajmandal Manorama Goloktirth Arbudaranya. He noted that this will be the first time in history that a Jagadguru Shankaracharya observes Chaturmas within a gaushala campus, marking a significant milestone for Sanatan Dharma and the nationwide movement for cow protection.

Seven Major Spiritual Discourses and Daily Religious Rituals

Senior Trustee and former General Secretary of Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda Lok Punyarth Nyas, Prataprajji Jetpura, said the two-month festival will feature seven major religious discourses, including:

Shrimad Bhagavat Katha

Shri Ramcharitmanas Katha

Nani Bai Ka Mayra

Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha

Shri Harihar Bhaktmal Katha

Go Bhaktmal Katha

Other spiritual and devotional discourses

Daily Go Puja, Vedic rituals, yajnas, devotional music, and cultural programmes will also be organized throughout the Chaturmas period.

National Seminars on Indigenous Cow-Based Economy and Healthcare

According to Narendraji Purohit Dhanol, Central Minister of the National Executive Committee of Godham Pathmeda, the Mahotsav will also host a series of national-level seminars focusing on:

Natural farming using cow dung and cow urine

Indigenous cow milk and nutrition

Cow-based healthcare systems

Conservation of indigenous cattle breeds

Panchagavya-based holistic healthcare

Sustainable rural development through cow-based livelihoods

The seminars aim to promote scientific awareness and encourage wider adoption of traditional Indian cow-based practices for agriculture, health, and environmental sustainability.

Volunteers Mobilised Across India

Ajayrajji Posintra said volunteers and cow devotees have been assigned responsibilities across Mumbai and several other states to publicize the Mahotsav. Thousands of devotees are expected to travel to Pathmeda during the Chaturmas period to participate in religious activities and contribute to cow service.

Among those present during the announcement were Jagadguru Swami Sadanand Saraswatiji Maharaj, Govats Vitthal Krishnaji, Pratapraj Jetpura, Ajayraj Posintra, Narendra Purohit Dhanol, Natwarlal Posintra, Satyendra Bishnoi (Sanchore), Premsingh Jetpura, Manish Sevadia, Harish Purohit (Wada), Revashankar Dhanol, Manish Ranodar, and several office-bearers and devotees associated with Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda.


Jagadguru Shankaracharya will observe Chaturmas at Godham Pathmeda from July 29. The historic event will feature spiritual discourses, Go Seva and national seminars.
