Sadhvi Dr. Vidyutprabha Shri Enters Chaturmas in Udaipur After 17 Years

Udaipur, JAmid resounding chants of devotion and a spiritually charged atmosphere, Sadhvi Dr. Vidyutprabha Shri Ji along with Sadhvi Pragyanjana Shri Ji, Sadhvi Namanruchi Shri Ji, Sadhvi Yogruchi Shri Ji, Sadhvi Tanmayruchi Shri Ji, and Sadhvi Aptraruchi Shri Ji (Thana-6) made their auspicious Chaturmas entry at Shri Jain Shwetambar Murtipujak Vasupujya Maharaj Mandir Trust, Dadabari, on Sunday after a gap of 17 years.

Hundreds of devotees accorded a grand welcome to the Sadhvi Sangh as the temple premises echoed with religious hymns, chants of the Navkar Mahamantra, and devotional songs, creating an atmosphere of faith and reverence.

Delivering her first discourse after the Chaturmas entry, Sadhvi Dr. Vidyutprabha Shri Ji said that Chaturmas is not merely a four-month stay but a golden opportunity for self-awakening, introspection, and spiritual purification. She emphasized that adopting values such as restraint, righteousness, forgiveness, compassion, and devotion leads to a meaningful life, while true happiness lies in inner peace rather than material pleasures.

She urged devotees to actively participate in religious practices during Chaturmas, including Swadhyay (scriptural study), Samayik, penance, renunciation, and community service. She also encouraged people to overcome anger, ego, deceit, and greed, and instead embrace love, humility, and harmony as the essence of spiritual practice.

Speaking on upcoming religious observances, Sadhvi Dr. Vidyutprabha Shri Ji informed that the Manikya Mahotsav at the under-construction Dada Adinath Bhagwan Temple in Hyderabad, marking 1,400 years of the sacred shrine, will be celebrated in February 2027. As part of this, the Manikya Swami Tap (Kulpak Tirth Nimit) comprising 14 fasts will begin on July 28 and conclude on August 25, following an alternate-day fasting schedule.

Trust President Raj Lodha said that the celebrations began with Navkarsi at the Town Hall Municipal premises at 7:30 a.m., followed by a grand religious procession featuring elephants, horses, bands, drums, and hundreds of devotees. The procession passed through the city's major roads before reaching Dadabari, where welcome gates had been erected at various points.

Trust Secretary Dalpat Doshi said that according to Jain tradition, monks and nuns remain at one place during the four monsoon months to guide devotees on the path of spirituality, discipline, and self-realization. This year, the Chaturmas of Sadhvi Dr. Vidyutprabha Shri Ji and Thana-6 will be observed at Dadabari, Surajpole.

On the occasion, Udaipur MLA Tarachand Jain, former Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, RNT Medical College Principal Dr. Rahul Jain, and several distinguished guests from outside the city were felicitated by the trust with traditional turbans and ceremonial shawls.

Chaturmas Convener Gajendra Bhansali said the formal ceremonial entry of the Sadhvi Sangh took place at 9:30 a.m. at Dadabari, followed by prayers before Lord Jinedra Dev and Dada Gurudev. Daily discourses will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. throughout Chaturmas.

The four-month religious programme will include Swadhyay, Samayik, Pratikraman, Tap, Navkar Mahamantra chanting, spiritual lectures, religious quizzes, and special sessions for youth and women. Major Jain festivals such as Paryushan Mahaparva, Samvatsari, Ayambil, and various penance programmes will also be observed.

Co-Conveners Vikas Surana and Subhash Mahatma announced that a Gunanuvad Sabha will be organized on July 25 to commemorate the 872nd Nirvana Anniversary of Dada Jindattsurishwar Maharaj, while regular discourses will commence from July 23, and the formal Chaturmas Sthapana will take place on July 28.

Vice Presidents Shailendra Lodha and Azad Nahar said the Dadabari premises have become a vibrant centre of spirituality with the commencement of Chaturmas, where a series of religious discourses, rituals, and devotional activities will continue over the coming months.
