Udaipur to Showcase New Rajasthan Tourism Circuit to National Travel Trade

Udaipur,  Udaipur is set to emerge as a major hub for India's tourism industry as more than 40 travel agents from across the country participate in a seven-day familiarisation (FAM) tour aimed at promoting a newly developed Rajasthan tourism circuit.

The FAM tour, scheduled from August 2 to 8, is being jointly organised by the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan (Udaipur Division), Hotel Sansthan Southern Rajasthan, India Outta Box, and Colours of India. Participants will represent over 10 States and Union Territories, including Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Rakesh Choudhary, President of the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan's Udaipur Division and Secretary of Hotel Sansthan Southern Rajasthan, said the tour would begin in Udaipur on August 2 and conclude in Kota on August 8. The itinerary includes three days in Udaipur, one day in Chittorgarh and three days covering Bundi and Kota.

The initiative seeks to promote a new tourism circuit linking Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Bundi and Kota, enabling domestic and international visitors to experience Rajasthan's lakes, forts, heritage sites, natural landscapes and cultural traditions through a single integrated itinerary.

The FAM tour is supported by hospitality partners including HRH Group of Hotels, Ramada, Labhgarh, Holy Mount, Ramee Royal, Seasons Park, Labua Daulatgarh, Vasant Kunj, Aranya Vilas, Udaygarh, Vidham Grand, Bhanagarh Palace Chittorgarh, Amrit Manthan Chittorgarh, and Sanjay Studio, Jodhpur. United Hoteliers and the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) are associate partners.

Vinny William, CEO of India Outta Box, said the visiting travel agents would gain first-hand experience of the region's internationally renowned lakes, historical monuments, scenic landscapes and rich cultural heritage. They would also inspect leading hotels, resorts and tourism facilities to better understand the destination's hospitality offerings and incorporate the new circuit into their tour packages.

Subhash Ranawat, President of Hotel Sansthan Southern Rajasthan, said the initiative would benefit not only the tourism sector but also hotels, handicrafts, transport operators, restaurants and other local businesses. Increased tourist arrivals, he said, would strengthen the regional economy and create new employment opportunities.

U.B. Shrivastava, President of United Hoteliers, expressed confidence that the event would help establish new business relationships between travel agents and hotel operators, leading to higher group travel, corporate bookings and increased tourist inflows from different parts of the country.

Ambalal Sahu, Secretary of the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan's Udaipur Division, said the initiative would lay a strong foundation for larger tourism events in Udaipur and Chittorgarh in the future. Reflecting the spirit of Rajasthan's traditional welcome, "Padharo Mhare Desh", he said the programme would further enhance Udaipur's reputation for hospitality and position it as a world-class tourism destination on both national and international platforms.
