Devpuri Parshwanath Pilgrimage Padayatra Begins

Udaipur: A grand Tirth Vandana Padayatra to Devpuri Parshwanath (Gujarat) commenced from Shri Dhyanoday Tirth in Balicha under the spiritual guidance of Ganini Aryika 105 Shri Suprakashmati Mataji. The sacred journey has begun with deep devotion, with Mataji’s three disciples and members of the Jain community of Udaipur participating enthusiastically. The pilgrimage will reach Devpuri in 23 days.

The padayatra is heading towards the ancient and miraculous Devpuri Parshwanath Jain Tirth, believed to be nearly 2000 years old. Notably, around two years ago, reports emerged about the manifestation of divinely protected Jain idols from the land of the Tirth, which has since become a strong center of faith and devotion for devotees.

Addressing devotees during the commencement, Guru Maa Suprakashmati Mataji said that performing Tirth Vandana through a padayatra in the presence of a spiritual guide helps cleanse the sins of countless lifetimes and brings peace, purity, and positive energy to the mind. She emphasized that such a pilgrimage is not merely a journey but a spiritual path that brings devotees closer to the divine and promotes inner purification.

The journey will pass through the serene valleys of the Aravalli region, covering Jhadol, Khakhad, Magwas, Kolyari, Bichhiwada, Falasia, Som, Deya, and Ambasa before reaching Devpuri. Members of the Jain community are welcome to join the pilgrimage by walking along the route.

Chairman of Dhyanoday Tirth, Omprakash Godawat, informed that the padayatra will cover approximately 14 kilometers daily. Yatra coordinator Shravan Kawalia stated that proper arrangements for night halts, meals, and accommodation have been made for the pilgrims along the route. Rajkumar Jain (Magwas) added that the first halt of the journey will be Jhadol, while further halts will be decided as required.

Yatra ritual coordinator Vipin Jain informed that the pilgrimage will reach Devpuri on April 4. Following this, on April 5, under the guidance of Guru Maa, a grand Samvasharan Maha Mandal Vidhan of Lord Parshwanath will be organized, where 108 couples will perform Maha Archana—an event being held for the first time at this sacred site.

Guru Maa has appealed to devotees to participate in this sacred padayatra and attain spiritual merit. The event is being actively organized by members of the Akhil Bharatiya Suprakash Jyoti Manch, including Vinod Kika Vat, Manoj Patni, Vimal Kanthalia (General Secretary), Arvind Padaliya, Jitendra Rajawat, Suresh Dagarooja, Jai Doshi from Adinath Temple, Bhagwati Godawat, and Nirmal Madawat, along with many other community members.

Meanwhile, the Jhadol Jain community is preparing for a grand welcome for the pilgrimage. Society President Hukmichand Jain informed that Mataji’s Mangal Pravesh in Jhadol will take place on March 15 at 8 AM, where elaborate arrangements are being made by the community to welcome the sacred procession.
