The rally began from Surajpole Circle and proceeded to Town Hall, led by PIMS psychologist Indrapal Salvi, and Foster Care Society representatives Anjum Sheikh and Lovesh Prajapat. A total of 42 participants, including MLSU students, Foster Care Society staff and interns, and PIMS faculty and students, took part in the march.
At Town Hall, experts and guests addressed the gathering.
PIMS Head of Psychiatry Dr. Praveen Khairkar, psychologist Indrapal Salvi, and MLSU students shared information on the 21 categories of disabilities recognized under the RPwD Act, 2016, along with the facilities and provisions available for persons with disabilities within the judicial system.
Advocate Bharat Kumawat spoke about the legal rights and protections available to individuals with disabilities and emphasized the importance of understanding the law.
The program successfully promoted awareness among youth and the community, reinforcing messages of inclusion, equal opportunities, and empowerment for persons with disabilities.
