BN University Hosts Third Day of Four-Day West Zone Inter-University Basketball Tournament

Udaipur: The four-day West Zone Inter-University Basketball Tournament, hosted for the first time by Vidya Pracharini Sabha, Bhupal Nobles University (BN University), saw exciting action on its third day as teams competed fiercely for a place in the semifinals.
The day’s proceedings began with the introduction of players by Executive Chairman Prof. Shivsinh Sarangdevot, Minister Dr. Mahendra Singh Agraria, Managing Director Mohabbat Singh Rupakhedi, Registrar Dr. N.N. Singh, Prof. Chetan Singh Chahaan, and member Prof. Yuvraj Singh Rathore. Thursday featured tough matches to determine the semifinalists, with gold, silver, and bronze medal matches scheduled for Friday. The tournament will conclude on Saturday at the Maharana Pratap Sports Ground of the university.
Organizing Secretary Dr. Hitesh Chandra Rawal informed that matches are being held at BN University Indoor Stadium and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indoor Stadium, MB College, often continuing late into the night due to the large number of participating teams. Throughout the day, the courts were abuzz with the excitement of sports enthusiasts and players.
Thursday’s Results Leading to Semifinals:
•    Goa University defeated MIT University, Pune 4 points
•    University of Mumbai defeated Parul University 18 points
•    Sardar Patel University defeated K. A. S. University 24 points
•    Vivekananda Global University defeated Karnavati University 14 points
•    Raj Rishi Bharathari University defeated S.R.T.M. University, Nanded 11 points
•    L.N.I.P.E., Gwalior defeated Maharaja Sayajirao University 34 points
•    Soumya Vidya Vihar University defeated Ahmedabad University 27 points
•    University of Rajasthan defeated Gujarat University 39 points
•    BITS Pilani defeated Jiwaji University, Gwalior 12 points
•    Jai Narayan Vyas University defeated Shivaji University 9 points
•    Sanjeev Agrawal Global Educational University defeated Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer 17 points
•    Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner defeated A.P.H. University 32 points
These victories have secured the teams’ spots in the semifinals, setting the stage for intense competition for the medals.
