World Environment Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm

Banswara: World Environment Day was celebrated across Banswara district on Friday through various programs and awareness activities. The Gayatri Mandal Banswara, which has been actively working in the fields of Vedic culture, Sanatan values, religion, and spirituality for more than seven decades, organized an Environmental Awareness Festival at Shri Pitambara Ashram.

On this occasion, various trees planted within the Ashram premises were worshipped with Vedic hymns and traditional mantras. The trees were ceremonially irrigated with sanctified water as a symbol of reverence for nature and environmental conservation.

During the event, former Forest Officer and Patron of Gayatri Mandal, Dr. Dinesh Bhatt, and Founder of the Natwaranandi Welfare Foundation, Saurabh Rawal, were felicitated for their remarkable contributions to environmental awareness and conservation over the years.

The dignitaries were honored with ceremonial shawls by Gayatri Mandal’s Chief Patron and former Commissioner Dilip Gupta, Senior Vice President Manohar Joshi, Secretary Vinod Shukla, and Executive Member Kamal Kant Bhatt.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Dinesh Bhatt and Saurabh Rawal have established an inspiring record by planting and nurturing thousands of trees and motivating communities toward environmental conservation. Their sustained efforts have earned them recognition as true environmental crusaders dedicated to spreading ecological awareness.

The event also witnessed the plantation of sacred, divine, and medicinal plant species, reinforcing the message of environmental protection and sustainable living.

Among those present were Lalit Joshi, District President of Vipra Foundation, Pt. Manohar H. Joshi, Kaluram Rathore, Hemant Bhatt, Mahendra Acharya, Pt. Manoj Bhatt Shastri, along with office-bearers and members of Gayatri Mandal and volunteers of Shri Pitambara Ashram.
