####Nirwan University Holds Its First Convocation Ceremony

Jaipur, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani called upon the youth to connect science with spirituality, technology with culture, and modernity with humanity to contribute meaningfully to nation-building. He also appealed for the development of a strong wellness culture in India to help the country emerge as a global “health guru.”

He was addressing the first convocation ceremony of Nirwan University held at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur on Saturday.

Devnani said that India has gifted the world concepts such as zero, Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, and spiritual wisdom. Today, India is emerging as one of the leading global powers in areas such as space technology, digital innovation, medical science, defense research, and artificial intelligence. He stated that this transformation reflects not only technological advancement but also India’s enduring philosophy of linking knowledge with human welfare.

He said the younger generation has the potential to provide new direction to the world. If youth embrace human values along with education, the future of the nation will be bright and prosperous. He emphasized that a degree is not merely a certificate but a sacred responsibility in life.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Jawahar Singh Bedham, who attended as the guest of honor, said that in ancient times Indian universities attracted students from across the world. He stressed the need for India to once again become a global center for education, culture, and spirituality.

Governor’s Advisor for Higher Education, Prof. Kailash Sodani, encouraged students to move forward with innovative thinking in research and development. Former Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Prof. (Dr.) Raja Babu Panwar, was also specially present on the occasion.

Chairperson of Nirwan Charitable Trust, Sri Ganganagar, Dr. Manjeet Singh Nirwan, also shared his views during the ceremony. University Chairman Dr. S.L. Sihag welcomed the guests and said that the convocation ceremony was a celebration of students’ years of hard work, discipline, and achievements.

Vice Chancellor Prof. S.L. Godara stated that the university is continuously striving to provide quality education and better research opportunities. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Bhawana Detha described the university’s first convocation ceremony as a historic achievement for the institution.

Registrar Dr. C.M. Rajoria informed that Ph.D. degrees were awarded to research scholars from various faculties, while undergraduate and postgraduate students were conferred degrees during the ceremony.

The event witnessed joyous smiles on students’ faces and pride in the eyes of parents. The entire campus reflected a festive atmosphere, making the convocation a memorable milestone in the lives of the students.
