Maharana Mewar Public School Celebrates Its 51st Annual Day with Grandeur at City Palace

Udaipur: The 51st Annual Day celebration of Maharana Mewar Public School, City Palace, Udaipur, was held with great magnificence on December 16 at the historic Manak Chowk, under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Chairman and Managing Trustee of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation. The event unfolded in a dignified atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, joy, and rich cultural vibrancy, reflecting not only students’ talents but also the strong educational traditions of the institution.

The ceremony was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Ms. Pragya Kevalramani, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Udaipur Division, along with Mrs. Nivrutti Kumari Mewar, by lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering floral tributes to the portraits of Maharana Bhagwat Singh Ji Mewar and Maharana Arvind Singh Ji Mewar.

The occasion was further graced by the presence of Praneshwari Kumari Mewar and Haritraj Singh Mewar. The school’s Honorary Director, Mr. Satish Kumar Sharma, warmly welcomed all dignitaries and presented bouquets to the guests.

The celebration commenced with an auspicious Ganesh Vandana, marked by expressive gestures and graceful dance movements, creating a spiritually uplifting ambiance. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by Head Boy Audad Ahmed, who greeted the guests, parents, and students.

The highlight of the evening was a series of vibrant cultural performances, showcasing the exceptional creativity and talent of the students. A classical orchestral presentation of Raag Bhupali, rich in melody and rhythm, beautifully reflected India’s ancient musical heritage.

In the mid-segment filler performance, Soumya Sankhla’s soulful rendition of “Heri Sakhi Mangal Gaavo Re”, accompanied by Siddharth Dhandhra’s tabla recital, added a touch of musical elegance and continuity to the program.

The English play “The Refund” captivated the audience with its strong acting, effective dialogues, and humorous situations. Students from Classes 1 to 5 enthralled the gathering with a lively Western dance performance set to Michael Jackson’s music, impressing everyone with their energy, enthusiasm, and colorful costumes.

Subsequently, Head Boy Audad Ahmed and Head Girl Ayushi Kawadiya presented the annual report of the institution through a PPT, highlighting the school’s academic, co-curricular, and overall achievements during the year.

Students of Classes 6 to 8 elevated the program with an emotionally rich Sufi dance performance, lending a spiritual depth to the celebration. This was followed by the contemporary social-themed play “Selfie”, which humorously portrayed the growing influence and consequences of social media in modern life, earning widespread appreciation for its impactful message and performances.

The program continued with a melodious orchestra performance and English group song, after which senior students presented a graceful Ghoomar dance, beautifully highlighting the dignity and elegance of Rajasthani culture.

During the award ceremony, Mrs. Nivrutti Kumari Mewar, School CEO Dr. Mayank Gupta, Honorary Director S.K. Sharma, and Chief Guest Ms. Pragya Kevalramani felicitated 27 students for outstanding academic excellence in the 2024–25 academic session, presenting them with awards and certificates.

In her inspiring address, the Chief Guest praised the school’s achievements and encouraged students to pursue dedication, discipline, and consistent hard work. She congratulated the school family for the successful आयोजन and emphasized that such cultural programs play a vital role in nurturing students’ hidden talents.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar highlighted the educational vision of the Trust, stating that the institution continues to scale new heights due to the dedication and tireless efforts of the management, teachers, and staff. He also acknowledged that the support and trust of parents remain the school’s greatest strength.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Honorary Director Satish Kumar Sharma presented a memento to the Chief Guest as a token of gratitude and thanked the entire school fraternity, parents, and students, expressing confidence in the institution’s continued progress.

The annual celebration concluded on a patriotic note with the collective singing of “Vande Mataram.” The program was smoothly conducted by students Paridhi Sethi, Adhira Mehta, Didita Gurjargaur, and Gaurika Trivedi.

Throughout the event, the students’ confidence, teachers’ guidance, and the school’s rich cultural heritage blended seamlessly. The grand stage décor, disciplined performances, and balanced coordination made the 51st Annual Day celebration truly memorable.
