IIMM National Supply Chain Excellence Awards ‘Shreshtham’ to be Held in Udaipur on 7 February

Udaipur: The Udaipur chapter of the Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) will host the fourth edition of its signature event, the Supply Chain Excellence Awards – Shreshtham, on 7 February in Udaipur. After three editions at the state level, this year the awards will be presented at the national level for the first time, recognizing 16 winners across organizational and individual categories.
Event Details and Selection
Priya Mogra, Chairperson of IIMM Udaipur, shared that nearly 300 applications were received from across the country, from which 16 awardees were selected. The awards are divided into two main categories:
1.    Industry Sector Awards (Organizations and Teams):
o    Logistics Sector Supply Chain Excellence Award
o    Manufacturing Supply Chain Excellence Award
o    Service Sector Supply Chain Excellence Award
o    Public Sector Supply Chain Excellence Award
2.    Supply Chain Individual Awards:
o    Supply Chain Strategy & Design Award
o    Sustainable Supply Chain & Recycling Award
o    Supply Chain Innovation Award
o    EXIM Supply Chain Excellence Award
o    Digital Transformation Award
o    Rising Star Award (for professionals up to 35 years)
o    Warehouse Initiative Award
Additionally, the program will feature awards for Procurement Excellence, Clean Transport, Logistics, and Best Customer Service. The Rising Star Award is intended to encourage and motivate young talent.
Chief Guests and Attendance
DC Jhanwar, Chairman of the Award Committee, announced that the chief guest will be Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Andhra Pradesh and founder of Rami Group, while the special guest will be Arun Mishra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc Ltd. Approximately 250 representatives, including IIMM executive members, are expected to attend.
Event Significance
Anil Mishra, Convener, emphasized that supply chain management is a delicate balance between speed and efficiency on one hand, and cost and sustainability on the other. The supply chain portfolio delivers value with every shipment, every mile, every time.
IIMM Udaipur has consistently organized workshops, seminars, and educational programs to enhance professional capabilities in supply chain management. Over the past three years, the chapter has recognized excellence in purchasing and procurement, and this year the scope has been expanded to honor outstanding contributions across all areas of supply chain management nationwide.
PS Talesra, MD of Pyrotek, noted that the awards aim to recognize the unsung heroes who ensure smooth operations behind the scenes while promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing across sectors. Secretary PP Bhattacharya and Treasurer Anil Parikh added that, unlike other awards which honor only organizations, Shreshtham celebrates both individuals and organizations, providing a platform to showcase excellence, achievements, and superior work in the supply chain domain.
