Community Blood Pressure Monitoring Campaign Organized

Udaipur: On the occasion of World Hypertension Day, a Community Blood Pressure Monitoring Campaign was organized by Venkateshwara School and College of Nursing, Umarda, Udaipur, a unit of Sai Tirupati University.

Students of B.Sc. Nursing Fifth Semester and GNM Third Year actively participated in the campaign. The program was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Principal Dr. Vijay Singh Rawat, Vice-Principal Dr. C.P. Dekhawat, and faculty members Dr. Archala Khemnar (Professor and Head, Medical-Surgical Nursing Department), Prakash Salvi, Mrs. Maheshwari Patel, and Mrs. Neeraj Jhala.

As part of the campaign, nursing students visited Jhamarkotda village and conducted door-to-door blood pressure screenings for rural families. A total of 68 families were covered under this initiative.

During the campaign, villagers were also provided with health education on the prevention of high blood pressure. Special emphasis was laid on reducing salt intake, avoiding oily and fatty foods, engaging in regular exercise, and undergoing periodic health check-ups.
