Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir Students Participate in Van Mahotsav Plantation Drive

Udaipur: As part of the Van Mahotsav celebrations, 101 Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts, and Guides from Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir, Ambamata, participated in a tree plantation drive at the Rajasthan State Bharat Scouts and Guides Divisional Training Centre, Uday Nivas, Lakadwas, on July 9.

The plantation programme was inaugurated by Manmohan, Assistant State Organising Commissioner, Rajasthan State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Udaipur Division, along with Scout C.O. Sunil Soni and Guide C.O. Abhilasha Mishra, who planted the first saplings to mark the beginning of the event.

During the drive, students planted a variety of saplings, including mango, peepal, banyan, neem, guava, pomegranate, and jamun. They were also educated about the importance of trees and their vital role in protecting the environment, maintaining ecological balance, and improving human well-being.

The information was shared by School Principal Mrs. Pratima Sharma, who said that the initiative aimed to instill environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility towards nature among students.
