###GMCH :National Breast Cancer Conference Held in Udaipur

Udaipur:Marking International Women’s Day, a two-day national conference on breast cancer is being organized on March 7 and 8 at Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital. The conference is being held under the aegis of the Breast Cancer Foundation India and has brought together more than 200 doctors and cancer specialists from across the country.

The event represents the 26th annual conference of the Breast Cancer Foundation India, and for the first time it is being hosted in Rajasthan. Specialists from several states are participating to discuss various aspects of breast cancer and to promote awareness among women and the general public.

During the conference, a series of scientific sessions will be conducted by oncologists, surgeons, and medical experts. Discussions will focus on prevention, early diagnosis, screening, and modern treatment methods for breast cancer. Experts will also share insights on advanced treatment technologies and how they can improve patient outcomes.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, specialists will also interact with women and members of the public to address queries related to breast cancer. Efforts will be made to remove misconceptions surrounding screening, early detection, and treatment while encouraging women to undergo timely medical examinations.

The conference is being organized by the Geetanjali Cancer Center. The organizing chairman is Dr. Rakesh Kumar Vyas, while Dr. Ramesh Purohit is serving as organizing secretary. Joint organizing secretaries include Dr. Ashish Jakhetia, Dr. Ankit Agrawal, and Dr. Ajay Kumar Yadav, while Dr. Shashank is the treasurer.

Cancer specialists from Udaipur division and different districts of Rajasthan are participating, along with experts from Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Patna, Amritsar, Rajkot, and New Delhi. Noted specialists including Padma Shri Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh, Dr. J.D. Patel, and Dr. Garima Mehta will share their experience of more than three decades in cancer care.

Medical experts noted that breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, and its incidence in India is steadily increasing, particularly among urban populations. The conference will also highlight the causes of breast cancer, preventive measures, and the importance of early detection so that women can receive treatment at an early stage and achieve complete recovery.

More than 300 women will be educated about breast cancer awareness during the program.

Ankit Agrawal, Executive Director of Geetanjali Group, stated that breast cancer can be completely cured if detected in time and treated properly. He added that the objective of Geetanjali Cancer Center is to combine expert knowledge and modern technology to provide better treatment and awareness for women.
