Mumbai: Gatha Shiv Parivar Ki – Ganesh Kartikeya on Sony SAB is entering one of its most intense phases as the storyline moves toward the powerful Tandav of Lord Shiva. The dramatic sequence is brought to life by actor Avinash Rekhi, portraying the divine fury that follows the emotional journey of Goddess Sati and Lord Shiva.
Known for its grand visuals and spiritual depth, the show is set to present a moment that is both emotionally profound and visually explosive. To portray the divine energy and emotional turmoil on screen, Avinash underwent intense physical and emotional preparation.
The Tandav sequence has been planned as the most significant moment of the track. The story gradually builds up to a breaking point where deep sorrow transforms into divine anger. The scene has been shot on a large scale with dramatic lighting, powerful background music, and dynamic camera movements to capture its intensity.
The choreography has been designed to reflect both destruction and emotion, symbolizing Lord Shiva’s grief and cosmic power. The heavy costume and long matted locks added to the visual impact, while every detail—from sound design to the set environment—was carefully crafted to ensure the grandeur and spiritual essence of the moment.
Sharing his experience, Avinash Rekhi said, “Preparing for the Tandav was one of the most intense experiences for me. It’s not just about dancing vigorously; it’s about feeling Lord Shiva’s pain and allowing it to flow through your body. The rehearsals were physically demanding, especially with the heavy costume and long locks, but that also helped me stay in the moment. When I performed the Tandav, the energy on the set completely changed. There is a fire within that needs to be controlled. I wanted viewers to feel that it’s not just anger, but a broken heart transforming into strength.”
Watch Ganesh Kartikeya every Monday to Saturday at 8 PM only on Sony SAB.
