Mumbai: To promote women’s safety, gender equality, and secure work environments, Tamanna Charitable Trust is organizing a POSH Amendment Act 2013–2026 Awareness Program on May 21, 2026, in Mumbai.
The program aims to educate participants in simple and practical language about key aspects of the POSH law, including what constitutes workplace sexual harassment, employee rights and responsibilities, how to file complaints, and how to create a safe and respectful work environment.
The main trainer for the session will be Unawala Zahra, a POSH and POCSO trainer as well as a career counselor. She will combine legal knowledge with real-life examples to make the session more relatable and impactful.
A special highlight of the event is a dedicated session on the power of media and social media. Darakshan Shaikh (Tamanna), founder of TWT News 24 and a media personality, will guide participants on how individuals facing harassment or emotional distress can use their mobile phones and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to raise awareness, share their voices, and help others avoid similar situations.
This session will also emphasize the responsible and effective use of social media as a powerful tool for safety and advocacy.
The program is supported by Union Job Hub & Services, and all participants will receive a course completion certificate. Funds generated from the event will be utilized for social welfare activities.
