Udaipur:As the City of Lakes prepares to resonate with rhythms from across the globe, the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival (VUWMF) 2026 is all set to return from 6th to 8th February, transforming Udaipur into a living, breathing celebration of sound, culture and creativity.
Marking a decade of “Music Without Borders”, the festival promises three unforgettable days where melodies flow as freely as the waters of Udaipur’s iconic lakes. Ahead of the grand opening, the official festival poster was unveiled on Wednesday, beautifully capturing the journey and spirit of ten extraordinary years.
Curated and produced by SEHER, supported consistently by Hindustan Zinc, and backed by the Rajasthan Tourism Department, VUWMF has today emerged as one of India’s most distinctive and celebrated global music destinations.
A Stellar Line-up, From India to the World
This landmark edition brings together an eclectic mix of over 150 artists, 20+ bands, and performers from more than 11 countries, many of whom will be performing in India for the very first time.
Indian music lovers can look forward to spellbinding performances by Kailash Kher & Kailasa Live, Amit Trivedi, Jonita Gandhi, Taba Chake, Amrit Ramnath, Indian Ocean, and OAFF, among others. Adding to the global flavour, artists from Spain, Africa, Europe and beyond will bring diverse sounds, beats and traditions to Udaipur’s historic venues.
From folk and fusion to contemporary and experimental music, the festival offers a sonic journey that transcends genres and geographies.
When the City Becomes the Stage
Over the past ten years, VUWMF has created magical moments across ghats, palaces, and heritage sites, turning Udaipur itself into an integral part of the performance. These aren’t just venues—they are cultural canvases where artists and audiences connect in deeply personal, unforgettable ways.
Words from the Curator
Reflecting on the milestone year, Sanjeev Bhargava, Founder of SEHER, shared:
“Reaching the 10th year naturally makes us think about what lies ahead—how we continue bringing unique and diverse music to India while enhancing the experience for both artists and audiences. The true beauty of this festival has always been how Udaipur and its spaces become part of the music itself. This edition will once again create moments that simply cannot be replicated elsewhere.”
Hindustan Zinc: Beyond Music
Deeply committed to preserving and promoting Indian culture, Hindustan Zinc has championed several iconic initiatives—from the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival to Srijan – The Spark, showcasing India’s global artistic identity, and Smritiyaan, honouring tabla legend and Oscar-nominated, BAFTA-winning maestro Pandit Chatur Lal.
Beyond culture, the company also drives meaningful social impact through initiatives like the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon, often called India’s most beautiful marathon, raising awareness against rural malnutrition while weaving through the scenic routes along Fateh Sagar Lake.
