World Radiography Day State Ceremony Held in Udaipur

Udaipur: The state-level celebration of World Radiography Day concluded on Saturday at the auditorium of the College of Agriculture, Udaipur. The event was organized by Manoj Saxena, Superintendent Radiographer, Udaipur.

The ceremony was graced by Udaipur MLA Phool Singh Meena as the chief guest, with distinguished guests including Dr. Arvind Shukla, Professor, Department of Radiophysics; Dr. N.K. Rathore, Head, Department of Radiotherapy, RNT Medical College, Udaipur; Dr. Sanjay Gandhi, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon; and Dr. Ram Avtar Saini, Orthopedic Surgeon, Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, Udaipur.

Acting State President Vaki Ahmad from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, honored medical radiography professionals from various districts of Rajasthan for their remarkable contributions in the field of medical radiation.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portrait of X-ray inventor Sir W.C. Roentgen by chief guest Phool Singh Meena, who extended greetings to all radiographers on the occasion and advised them to remain vigilant in their professional duties.

The distinguished guests delivered insightful lectures on radiation safety and awareness. The event also witnessed the state-level elections of the Rajasthan Radiation Technologist Association, where Anil Kumar Kumawat was unanimously elected as State President and Durgesh Sain of Jaipur won the position of State General Secretary by majority.

Chief Election Officer Devendra Singh Jadon (Retd. Superintendent Radiographer, JLN Medical College, Ajmer) and Ujagar Singh (Medical College, Kota) administered the oath to the newly elected office bearers. The proceedings were anchored by Mahesh Dubey, Senior Radiographer, Medical College, Kota.

The ceremony concluded with organizer Manoj Saxena presenting mementos to radiographers from various districts of Rajasthan.
