Udaipur , The fraud in the Ram Mandir Trust has risen to a scale of two hundred Crores. The SIT is only an eyewash. It is made to protect the real culprits. The names of the chairman, secretary and other office bearers are not in the FIR. Only a driver , a clerk and low ranking persons have been targeted while the real big guns enjoy immunity. The higher office bearers are senior RSS leaders who have been handpicked by the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. The two earned maximum leverage and enjoyed the sunshine of power but are shying away from taking the responsibility. This was stated by the senior leader of CPIM former member of Parliament Comrade Brinda Karat. She was addressing the press at Shirali Bhavan, the office of the CPIM, Udaipur on Sunday, the 28th of June , 2026. She visited a MNREGA site on Sunday morning and found that the Adivasis who had come to work kept on waiting for four hours but could not get work because the server of the website was not working and their attendance could not be marked. She said that MNREGA should be continued and the Central Government should fully fund it. Technology should be helpful for the masses and should not be a hindrance in normal execution of a welfare programme. She said that the government of Rajasthan has been reluctant in giving land rights to Adivasis under Forest Rights Act. Out of a total claims of 22thousand only 43% have been entertained. A massive movement will be launched in Rajasthan , she said.

Responding to questions from the journalists she said that the government of India did not follow a robust foreign policy in the American and Israeli attack on Iran. The Prime Minister shook hands with Israel whose hands were stinking with the blood of innocent people of GAZA and called Israel Fatherland which is shameful. The country should have taken an independent stand as was done in the past. Comrade Brinda Karat expressed solidarity of CPIM with the movement of youth at Jantar Mantar and said that the party supports the demands raised by the Cockroch Janta Party. She opposed the Indian government’s decision to sell out land at Great Nicobar Island to capitalists. She said that the move of the government will destroy the bio diversity and tribal life of the region. When asked about the incident of conversion in RishabhDev she said that the Adivasis have their own ethnic identity. The constitution gives them the right to follow any religion. If they start following Hindu religion the BJP and RSS people have no objection but if they start following any other religion they have problem. She said that Adivasis have their own faith which they have every right to follow.
In the beginning Comrade Rajesh Singhvi, district secretary of CPIM welcomed the members of the press and introduced comrade Brinda Karat. He said that she was a member of the parliamentary committee which framed the Forest Rights Act. She was instrumental in making it effective in the interest of the Adivasis. Prof. Hemendra Chandalia, senior journalist presented a collection of his poems to comrade Brinda Karat.
