Indra Attained Liberation from the Sin of Brahmahatya Through Penance to Eklingji: Jagadguru Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj

Udaipur:The Shri Mahalakshmi Koti Kumkumarchan Yagna and Sadhana Puja Mahotsav, being held at the vast grounds of Meera Nagar under the divine guidance of Krishnagiri Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Pujyapad Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj, has reached its peak, drawing an ever-growing number of devotees each day.

According to Mahotsav Organising Committee President Nanalal Baya and General Secretary Devendra Mehta, on the fifth day of the festival, Jagadguru Ji narrated the sacred episodes of Trishira, Vritrasura and Indra during the Shri Eklingnath Shiva Purana Katha. He explained that after the slaying of Vritrasura, Indra was afflicted with the sin of Brahmahatya, causing his divine powers to diminish. On the advice of Lord Narayan, Indra performed intense penance to Lord Eklingnath, the supreme divine force seated in Medpat. Pleased with his devotion, Lord Shiva appeared and granted Indra liberation from the grave sin. Jagadguru Ji emphasized that divine grace cannot be bought with wealth; it is attained only through sincere devotion and spiritual practice.
