Divisional-Level Amrita Haat to Be Held from February 18 to 24 at Gandhi Ground

Udaipur: As per the directions of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Department of Women Empowerment will organize a seven-day Divisional-Level Amrita Haat Fair from February 18 to 24 at Bhandari Audience Pavilion (Gandhi Ground). On Tuesday, Divisional Commissioner Ms. Pragya Kevalramani released the official poster of Amrita Haat.
To review the preparations, a meeting of the organizing committee was held at the Commissionerate Mini Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Additional Divisional Commissioner C.R. Devasi, following the directions of the Divisional Commissioner. Officers from various departments participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, Additional Divisional Commissioner Mr. Devasi instructed officials to ensure the sale of high-quality products made by women self-help groups and women entrepreneurs, and to create an attractive environment for visitors. He emphasized the establishment of selfie points based on the “Panch Gaurav” theme, effective publicity, and enhanced inter-departmental coordination.
Responsibilities related to tents, electricity supply, drinking water, toilets, food and accommodation for women participants, security arrangements at the fair and accommodation sites, cleanliness, and other basic facilities were assigned to the concerned departments. Additional District Collector Dipendra Singh Rathore also directed departments to work in coordination and ensure timely completion of all arrangements.
Wide Range of Handcrafted Products on Display
Deputy Director, Women Empowerment, Sanjay Joshi, informed that the objective of the annual Amrita Haat is to showcase, market, and sell value-added products manufactured by women self-help groups and women entrepreneurs, while also establishing their distinct identity. So far, 110 self-help groups and women entrepreneurs have confirmed their participation.
Visitors will be able to purchase a wide range of products at reasonable prices, including moong papad, dalia, namkeen, artificial jewelry, ready-made garments, cosmetics, pickles, home décor items, and handicrafts.
Cultural Evenings, Sports, and Awareness Sessions
Mr. Joshi further stated that daily cultural evenings, awareness sessions, puppet shows, quizzes, women-centric competitions, and various sports activities will be organized during the fair. Additionally, from February 19 to 23, the Amrita Premier League will be held, featuring sports competitions for women and girls, which will be a major highlight of the event.
The meeting was attended by Shailendra Sharma, General Manager of the Industries Department, Sanjay Gupta, District Lead Bank Officer, and officials from the Medical and Health Department and other concerned departments.
