Udaipur: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a program to honor women was organized on Sunday outside Shanti Anandi Memorial at Delhi Gate.
On this occasion, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, General Secretary and Spokesperson of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, honored women police officer Tina Solanki and women from the Mali community — Dhapu Mali, Sushila Mali, and Durga Mali — by presenting them with a tricolor scarf (Tiranga Uparna), coconut, and a memento from the Mahatma Gandhi Jeevan Darshan Samiti.
Speaking at the event, Sharma said that International Women’s Day is not just a celebration but a symbol of respect, rights, and empowerment for women. He stated that today women are demonstrating their talent and capabilities in every field and making significant contributions to the development of society and the nation. He emphasized that respecting women is a moral responsibility for all and that it is essential to ensure their rights, safety, and equal opportunities in society.
Other speakers present at the program also appreciated the role and contributions of women, describing them as an inspiring force in society.
