Gas Supply Crisis in Rajasthan Troubling Small Traders and Public: Pankaj Kumar Sharma

Udaipur: Pankaj Kumar Sharma, General Secretary and Spokesperson of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, has criticized the state government over the deteriorating supply of LPG cylinders in Rajasthan. He said the gas supply situation in the state has become extremely poor, leading to a shortage of cylinders in the market. As a result, common citizens, small traders, and hotel and dhaba operators are facing serious difficulties.

Sharma stated that the disruption in the supply of commercial gas cylinders is directly affecting hotels, restaurants, and small businesses. In several places, consumers are reportedly being forced to purchase cylinders at prices higher than the official rates, which, he said, reflects weak monitoring by the government.

He further alleged that due to government negligence, black marketing of gas cylinders is increasing across the state, causing additional hardship for people who are already struggling with rising prices.

Sharma demanded that the government make the gas distribution system more transparent, ensure regular supply of commercial cylinders, and take strict action against those involved in black marketing so that relief can be provided to the public and small traders in the state.
