Udaipur | In a grand समारोह held on the evening of March 26 at Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, Dr. Deepak Vohra was honored with the first Indira Murdia Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award included a cash prize of ₹5 lakh, along with a citation, shawl, turban, and coconut. It was presented by Dr. Ajay Murdia, Dr. K.L. Kothari, Dr. Maheep Bhatnagar, IAS officer Munish Goyal, Dr. R.K. Garg, Dr. K.L. Totawat, and Dr. K.P. Talesara.
Media in-charge Professor Vimal Sharma highlighted Dr. Vohra’s distinguished personality, describing him as a successful member of the foreign service, an expert in geopolitics, and a seasoned diplomat.
In his address, Dr. Vohra referred to Chanakya’s principles, stating that leadership, diplomacy, education, and infrastructure are essential for a nation’s development. He added that India is achieving new milestones of success on every front.
It is noteworthy that this award has been instituted in memory of Late Mrs. Indira Murdia and will be presented annually under the joint aegis of Indira Enterprises and Vigyan Samiti.
