Udaipur: A courtesy meeting was held with former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, in connection with the upcoming 6th International Classical Dance and Music Festival, scheduled to take place in the city on April 26–27.
On this occasion, Chandrakala Choudhary, founder of Kathak Ashram, along with Kanishka Shrimali from Yashwant Foundation, briefed him about the festival in detail. They explained that the event is an important initiative aimed at providing a global platform for the rich traditions of Indian classical dance and music.
Ashok Gehlot appreciated the initiative and stated that such events play a significant role in strengthening the cultural identity of Udaipur. He extended his best wishes for the success of the festival and assured full support to the organizing committee.
The festival will feature renowned artists from India and abroad, presenting various classical dance forms such as Kathak and Bharatanatyam, along with classical music performances. The event promises to offer audiences a rich experience of India’s diverse cultural heritage. Members of the organizing committee were also present on the occasion.
