Udaipur/Agra: Preparations for the upcoming Asian Lacrosse Games 2026–27, scheduled to be held in Chengdu from April 21 to 25, are in full swing, with the Indian lacrosse team intensifying its efforts. As part of this preparation, selection trials and a training camp are currently being conducted in Agra, attracting talented players from across the country.
Top-performing male and female players from various states—who have excelled in national competitions and Federation Cup events—have been invited to participate in the camp. All participants are training with dedication and discipline to secure a place in the national team and represent India at the international level.
The responsibility of building a strong and cohesive team has been entrusted to the Lacrosse Federation of India, with experienced coaches Neeraj Batra, Shakeel Khan, and Rajpal Redu leading the training. They are focusing on improving players’ technical skills, fitness, and teamwork.
Under the guidance of Federation CEO Tauseef Lari, officials including Uttar Pradesh Lacrosse Association President Vinod Bansal, along with Imran Lari, Saurav Betal, Shehzad Khan, Rajesh Sharma, and Devvrat Chaudhary, are regularly inspecting the camp and motivating the players.
The camp has witnessed high levels of enthusiasm and competition among participants. Based on performances in the selection trials, the best players will be chosen to form a strong Indian team that will represent the country at the Asian Lacrosse Games.
The Indian team aims to deliver an outstanding performance at the Asian level and secure medals, with players putting in relentless effort to achieve this goal.
