Udaipur: The ‘Veena Mahotsav’ held in Barmer became a vibrant celebration of Rajasthan’s rich cultural traditions, where the Rahda Foundation represented Mewar and showcased the unique splendor of Mewari culture. Organized under the aegis of Ruma Devi Foundation, the festival brought together the music and cultural heritage of both Marwar and Mewar, creating an atmosphere full of devotion and energy.
The Rahda Foundation received a special invitation from the Ruma Devi Foundation to participate in the festival. The foundation’s members enthusiastically presented their cultural performances, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees. Founder Archana Singh Charan along with other members actively participated, offering a distinguished representation of Mewar’s cultural legacy. Their warm reception further reinforced the cultural pride of the region.
In her address, Archana Singh Charan remarked that the festival brought to life the soul of Rajasthan, where art, culture, and devotion blended beautifully. She emphasized that Rajasthan is not just a state but a treasure trove of artistic and cultural heritage, where the voices of saints like Narsi Mehta, Isardasji, Meera, Raidas, Kabir, and Kumbhandas continue to resonate among the people.
She added that the Mahotsav was more than just a cultural event—it served as a bridge connecting Marwar and Mewar, promoting mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and unity. Rahda Foundation’s participation not only strengthened Mewar’s cultural identity but also highlighted Rajasthan’s diverse cultural streams, celebrating the spirit of “unity in diversity.”
