Udaipur: Music lovers were treated to a nostalgic journey through the golden era of Indian cinema during the musical evening “Sadabahar Nagme”, organized by the Senior Wing of Suron Ki Mandali at the Madhushree Auditorium, Ashoka Palace. The event featured a captivating lineup of evergreen songs that brought back cherished memories and filled the auditorium with melodies from a bygone era.
Participants from across the city presented timeless classics originally sung by legendary artists such as Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, and Kishore Kumar. Their heartfelt renditions left the audience spellbound, while continuous applause echoed throughout the venue as listeners immersed themselves in the nostalgia of classic Indian music.
The chief guest, Dr. Reena Rathore, remarked that music is one of the most powerful cultural forces that brings people together. She noted that songs from earlier decades continue to hold a special place in people’s hearts and that such events play a vital role in introducing younger generations to India’s rich musical heritage. Appreciating the efforts of Suron Ki Mandali, she said that music helps create a positive and harmonious social environment.
Founder President Mukesh Madhvani stated that the organization aims to provide a common platform for music enthusiasts and preserve the tradition of evergreen melodies. He added that the dedication and passion displayed by all participants made the event truly memorable.
Secretary Arun Choubisa said that “Sadabahar Nagme” is not merely a cultural programme but a medium that unites music lovers through a shared appreciation of timeless songs. He emphasized that classic melodies represent a unique blend of emotion, poetry, and music, making their preservation and promotion essential.
Treasurer Yogesh Upadhyay informed that special arrangements were made to ensure the comfort of both performers and audience members. He added that Suron Ki Mandali would continue organizing similar events in the future to strengthen the city’s cultural landscape and provide a platform for emerging talent.
