Bank to Promote Small Industries by Providing Financial Assistance for Purity: Shri Kataria

Udaipur — The 32nd Annual General Meeting of The Udaipur Mahila Samriddhi Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. was held on Wednesday at Sukhadia Rangmanch, Town Hall, with the presence of over 1,000 members and guests.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Shri Gulabchand Kataria, along with Anitha Kataria, Regional Audit Officer Ashutosh Bhatt, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies Lokesh Joshi, and other distinguished guests. The meeting was chaired by Bank President Dr. Kiran Jain. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. BOM Chairperson Meenakshi Shrimali welcomed the guests and members and extended congratulations on the bank’s 32nd AGM.

Bank President Dr. Kiran Jain declared the commencement of the general meeting and presented the annual report, highlighting the bank’s achievements, features, future plans, and social responsibilities. She informed that the bank’s deposits have reached ₹152 crore, loans ₹64.45 crore, and the total business has grown to ₹217 crore this year. She added that the Mahila Samriddhi Bank has been honoured with three national-level awards this year, bringing pride not only to the bank but also to Udaipur. She congratulated the management as well as all members.

Governor Shri Gulabchand Kataria congratulated the bank on its national recognitions and recalled the efforts of those who worked hard to establish it. He said the bank is continuously progressing, which is a matter of great satisfaction. He also mentioned the launch of the “Sahkar Digi Loan App,” which will ensure transparent loan distribution. He advised the bank to focus on providing loans to low-income women to make them self-reliant. He emphasized that the bank’s goal should not only be profit-making but also to emerge as a leading institution in human values. He encouraged women to start small-scale industries such as home-made food and spices and suggested that the bank provide financial assistance to ensure purity and promote household-based enterprises.

Regional Audit Officer Ashutosh Bhatt appreciated the bank’s functioning and stated that it should further strengthen its focus on loan distribution, while overall performance remains strong. Deputy Registrar Lokesh Joshi said that this bank is the best among women’s banks in Rajasthan and suggested forming small groups of members to facilitate microloans based on collective guarantees.

Chief Executive Officer Vinod Chaplot presented the financial statements, highlighting significant growth in deposits, share capital, reserves, and working capital. He informed that the bank achieved a total business of ₹217 crore in 2025–26 and maintained a net NPA of zero, reflecting strong customer trust. He also announced the launch of the “Sahkar Digi Loan App” for transparent loan services. During the event, customers with excellent transactions and employees/officers achieving targets were also honoured.

The programme was attended by Vice President Vimla Moondra, Directors Dishashree Bhandari, Sanjana Meena, Charu Jain, Kanchan Kesar Soni, Dr. Mahima Samar Jain, Manju Sharma, Nisha Salvi, Suman Kothari, Sushila Mandawat, Vidya Kiran Agarwal, Pallavi Nahar, Meena Chauhan, Subhashini Sharma, BOM members Vinkle Mogra, Usha Bhatt, and IT Head Nipun Chittora, among others.
