Udaipur: A two-day range-level training workshop on “Cybersecurity Empowerment for Smart Policing” was inaugurated on Monday at the Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, Dabok, organized under the Policing for the Care of Children program by Udaipur Range Police in collaboration with UNICEF Rajasthan. The workshop aims to prevent cybercrimes and raise awareness among police personnel.
IG Gaurav Srivastava, the chief guest of the program, emphasized that in today’s digital age, cybercrimes are emerging in increasingly complex forms, making it essential for police personnel to be technically skilled and aware. Participating in the initial session himself, the IG urged all participants to apply the knowledge gained during the training to ensure public safety and swift justice.
Presiding over the event, District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal highlighted that the workshop is a crucial initiative to combat rising cybercrimes and stressed the importance of leveraging new knowledge and technology to effectively curb such offenses. Nodal Officer ASP Harsh Ratnu described the workshop as highly beneficial and knowledge-enhancing, urging participants to use the technical knowledge to provide rapid relief to victims of cybercrime and set an example of smart policing.
